There are two types of selection IAF one as an officer and another a soldier.

OFFICER ENTRIES:

1. NDA/NA

NDA/NA (National defense academy/naval academy) is so popular among Indian young students. Every year millions of students applied for the exam but only a few got selected.

Here, we discuss it in detail about the parameters of its selection and what students should focus on to achieve their dreams.

ELIGIBILITY:

(a) AGE: 16 to 19.5 years in the month of January and August accordingly.
(b), QUALIFICATIONS: Must have 12 passed or appearing with PCM Subjects.

Selection Procedure

A student should have to clear three major phases to select himself in NDA.


(1).NDA/NA EXAM: This exam usually conducted twice a year in the month of mid-April and September. And it's application for apply starts in the first week of January and August respectively.

(2).INTERVIEW: This is the most difficult interview in the world. It is a five-day-long interview in which your skills, physiology, mental ability ( main quality's that an Indian officer possesses) are searched.

(3). MEDICAL TEST: In this MEDICAL checkup is conducted by the army medical doctor.

The most important question among today generation is visuality: person should not have color vision, have had good eyesight as 6/6 or 6/9.

Selection procedure is same as NDA. First EXAM then INTERVIEW after that MEDICAL test.

3.NCC Special entry :

ELIGIBILITY:

(a)+2 passed with 60 % with PCM Subjects.
(b) ANY GRADUATE  passed with 60% Mark's
(c).MUST having Air wing 'C' division certificate.
(d). Age 20 to 24 years.

4.AFCAT :

ELIGIBILITY:

(a)Must have +2 passed with 60 % Mark's having  PCM Subjects
(b). ANY GRADUATE passed  with 60% marks.
(c).Age 20 to 24 years.

SOLDIER (AIRMEN) :

Group x and y exam conducted  twice every  year in the month of March and September.

Group X :

ELIGIBILITY: (a) must have +2passed with 60% Mark's in PCM subjects along with English

SELECTION PROCEDURE

EXAM: This exam contains basic +2 syllabus questions  of Physics, English, Maths.

PFT (physical fitness test):1.6 Km race in 6 min 30 sec. ,10  push-ups, 10 pull-ups, 20 squats must.

MEDICAL TEST: A medical  test is conducted  by  the medical army  doctor
We advise you to must tarter your hair and clean your ears before the  MEDICAL test.

GROUP Y:

ELIGIBILITY: 

(a) Must have +2 passed in any stream.

Selection procedure:

EXAM: In this two main subjects as English (20 marks) and Raga (30 Mark's)

PFT (physical fitness test):1.6 Kim race in 6 min 30 sec. ,10  push'ups, 10 pull-ups, 20 squats must.

MEDICAL TEST: A medical  test is conducted  by  the medical army  doctor
