STUDY EVERTHING

JoSSA:

COUNSELLING process every year conducted  by JOSSA (JOINT SEAT ALLOCATION AUTHORITY) every year.
It is mainly  in the month of JULY (except this year, 2020) and the New session starts from 2 weeks of August.

It mainly contains seven round long process after every round you are given 4 or 5 days  to Check and submit  your documents (which we discuss later) at the reporting center at the time of SEAT acceptance.

How the counselling process works :

(1)Log-in on official site (jossa.nic.in) of JOSSA:

First of all, go to the official website of jossa which is jossa.nic.in.
Here you have to fill for details and submit your original documents as

(a).Scorecard
(b). Admit card for jee main/jee advance.
(c).Adhaar card.

After completing  this process candidates have an option to choose colleges which he likes to do so.

CHOICE FILLING:

This process is called CHOICE FILLING.
CHOICE FILLING is very important student must choose smartly as the college, branch which he/she want to pursue.

LET'S UNDERSTAND IT, WITH AN EXAMPLE: Let a candidate  choose as follow
IIT Khagarpur -cse   as 1 preference.
IIT Dehli -ece             as 2 preference.
IIT Tirchy- cse           as 3 preference.

Now, if you go in detailed you will find that cse at IIT Tirchy is better then rest of two but if students scored able to gets cse Trichy but due to choice filling because of 1 preference he get IIT Kahgarpur -cse which is also reputed but a little less than that of IIT Tirchy.

Let's take another example  if a candidate  unable to get a seat in  IIT Kahgarpur cse than in may upcoming  rounds he/she get IIT Dehli  ece.

Hope you understand.

Now how to know which college/branch is best? For that, you just need to follow us.
After choice filling, you should take a print copy of these for reporting time.

You may choose a maximum of 200 preferences.
But we recommend you to choose a maximum of 50. So that Jossa easily accesses your choices.
Once you click on submit in choice filling you can't reset it.

So, choose wisely and smartly.
Sometimes it like a lucky draw

Don't choose in hurry.

After getting allotted SEAT you have to carry all the documents discussed above summit to the reporting center.

Along with theses you may also have to need  a photocopy of all documents  mentioned above with your signature on each of them.

What is the reporting center?

The reporting center is your college which you mentioned in the choice filling document. This year maybe you don't need to go to report at the reporting centre because it may be an online summit due to COVID-19.

What is reporting time?

Reporting time is time given to the candidate to submit your document at the reporting center.

This year's (2020) reporting process may be a little different and more online but the process remains the same.

FACTORS:

STATE QUOTA-

(a). Home state quota

(b). Other state quota

CATEGORY QUOTA

(a). General
(b). OBC
(c). SC
(d). ST

Using these quotes you may even get a seat low percentile.

There are mainly 25 IIIT'S, 31 NIT'S, AND 28 GFT'S. So, how to choose which is better for you. It's so simple just note down your percentile and check previous year cutoffs.

We are hoping that you find all the questions you are looking for.

Csab counselling

If you are not getting in jossa COUNSELLING you may go for CSAB A special round counseling.
Which is conducted just after the jossa counselling.

If the candidate failed to get a seat in jossa counselling he may also go another type of counselling named csab special round counselling which usually contains 2 rounds.

To participate this counselling candidate need to pay Rs 35,000 for general/obc. And for sc/st Rs15,000.

In this counselling, candidates may get the seat even at high rank.

And the remaining process is the same as jossa counselling. It is conducted after jossa counselling.

If the candidate failed to get a seat in the first round of csab counselling and he can refund counselling his fees.

If he can't get a seat even after the second round then this fees can't be refunded.

It is also fair but risky. This counselling more depends on the luck of the candidate.
